Breaking Barriers has been my thesis project that explored the integration of virtual reality into psychotherapy, specifically targeting the treatment of phobias.
This project investigates the use of VR for therapeutic purposes, aiming to enhance traditional exposure therapy through customisable virtual environments. By leveraging advanced VR technologies like Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine 5, Breaking Barriers seeks to provide a safe, controlled, and effective therapeutic experience.
Breaking Barriers allows therapists to adapt VR scenarios in real-time, tailored to patient responses. The project includes environments designed to progressively expose patients to their fears, aiding in anxiety management and therapeutic progress.
